The recession does not seem to be affecting dirt track racing as much as some other sporting sectors. While speedways throughout this Country are starting the season with pretty full fields they are not a patch on the event held recently at Boone Speedway in Iowa, USA. They recently held the Supernationals for Modifieds and the event took seven days to complete and 818 cars entered! The final was for just 24 cars, so 796 cars missed the feature race!
It is a hugely competitive division and the Supernationals is a huge event.

Don't miss next Saturday's fireworks display here at Baypark. We have always provided the best display in the Bay and it is hard to keep doing it better each time, or to at least maintain the standard. We think the display next Saturday will be the best yet. There are some new fireworks that we have added and we are doing something a little different that we think you will all enjoy. Don't miss it!

Skinny Colson is sporting a new sponsor for this season. He has joined the ever-expanding ranks of the team supported by Daltons. So far they have restricted their sponsorship to the saloon division with Jeff Barron, Michelle Wymer and Paul Cressy but they felt that Skinny was pretty good value and they have expanded their coverage to include a Sprint Car in their team. We wish them well and every success for the coming season.

We want to welcome Radio Hauraki as a partner and sponsor of Baypark Speedway. Radio Hauraki is supporting a stock car series starting on our fourth meeting and running for three nights. It will have a similar format to our successful La-Z-boy Series for saloons and there is a great trophy for the winner at the conclusion of the event.
As part of the promotion Radio Hauraki is giving away prizes each week. To be eligible put a Hauraki Sticker on your car, truck or trailer - the stickers are available from our merchandise shop - and they will select a vehicle they see with the sticker on as the winner. Just listen to Hauraki for your vehicle registration number to be called.

The very popular Powerbuilt Tools Motorsport programme will air its final screening and will be finished forever on Sunday 13th December. Our televised events this season will be screened on SkySport and we will let you know which channels and when, closer to the dates.
In the meantime keep watching Powerbuilt Tools Motorsport. Several of our drivers from Baypark will be making guest appearances during the final shows in November and early December as a build up to the special events both here at Baypark and around the country.
